Raiders 2015 Program Takes On New Life

In preparation for our 25th anniversary tour, we are excited to announce some changes to our 2015 production. As we travel through life, we are constantly reflecting on our past, analyzing our present and looking into our future as a way to reinvent ourselves. Using music by composers Samuel Hazo, Ryan Nowlin and Jay Bocook, we will be presenting our program entitled: "From the Ashes".
Our Repertoire Includes:
Olympiada by Samuel Hazo Hazo
Fanfare - A Vision and A Dream by Ryan Nowlin
Our Yesterdays Lengthen Like Shadows by Samuel Hazo
Into The Light by Jay Bocook
Our production will follow the Phoenix from its vibrant, youthful flight through its fiery descent into ash and finally it's rebirth. Movement One begins with a dark yet bold pallet soaring across the field as the Phoenix takes flight. Slowly, as this movement comes to an end, we see the Phoenix begin to dim. As the Phoenix descends into ash, Movement Two fills the field with a sense of remorse and reflection. Finally, from the ashes, the Phoenix emerges more vibrant than ever during Movement Three. With the new appearance, the phoenix takes flight, recalling on the past but looking to a bright future.
The changes in show design also bring changes to our design team and instructional staff. We will also be adding performances to our local tour schedule. More information will be provided in the coming days.
ECP Announces their 2015 Program

East Coast Percussion is proud to present their 2015 program:
Thoughts, objects and concepts are always bending. Stretching of the mind makes people perceive objects in different ways. Time and space bend and stretch all around us on a daily basis. Even our brains start with very little information and stretch out as we learn about the world around us. Elasticity will be brought to life with tunes by progressive rock group "Animals as Leaders" and English singer-songwriter "FKA Twigs."
ECP hopes to engage every audience member through the use of intriguing melodic figures and uncommon time signatures. A dynamic visual package with a bright color scheme will tie the idea together as the musical selections provide an atmosphere filled with energy and nuance so that many different examples of bending and stretching can be explored.
In our inaugural season, Elasticity will provide us with many opportunities to showcase the talents of the members that will set up the foundation of the ensemble for years to come.
